UEA Weekend

UEA weekend we spent in Delta and in Richfield.  We had a great time playing outdoors, carving pumpkins and playing in the leaves. 

 

 

Kenny went deer hunting with Grandpa Mecham and had a great time and didn't complain once!

We had some family pictures taken the end of Sept and I love them!  It was quite the feat to get everyone together and somewhat happy.  Connor was super onery and had to be bribed quite a bit and even though Lawson isn't smiling the fact that he is looking at the camera is enough for me.

 

Lawson had his tonsils out

Lawson had his tonsils and adenoid taken out and tubes put in his ears last week.

He was a champ until they wanted to weigh him and have me change his clothes. 

He did not love it at first but I thought he looked so adorable in his little cap and gown.

The surgery took about 45 min.  He had a mild reaction to something and they gave his some benadryl and he took a while to wake up.  He was still so adorable while he was out of it.

When he got home it was like nothing had happened.  He was hyper and trying on all kinds of laundry I was trying to fold.  I especially loved him trying on these swimsuit underwear of Josh's.

This is the face we get when it's time for his medicine.  He will also cover his ears when it's time for his drops.

The firs few days were great and he slept the nights through.  The last several days have been more of a challenge and he has not slept great and has had horrible breath!

Lawson's Backyardigan 2nd Birthday party

Lawson turned 2 on the 4th of this month and it's crazy how fast this month has gone by and I am just getting to this post!

He has been really into the Backyardigan's and so then I knew just what to do for his birthday cake.  Well, my mom knew just what to do.  I asked her to just make him a Pableo cake and she busted out the whole gang.  He loved it!

The kids loved the cake as well.

LJ got some pretty great presents and he is actually still playing with them now so it must mean he really likes them.

I will for sure do a better post about my baby rapidly turning into a little boy but I wanted to get these pictures up ASAP.  We are so lucky to have this little buddy and he is such a joy in our family!

Wicked Weekend

Eight months ago we bought tickets to the play Wicked. We waited anxiously for August 18th so we could have our awesome girls weekend and see this play that we have wanted to see forever! 

Britt and I headed out early on Friday and had to stop in Beaver to get a fountain Diet Coke with Lime.  Just the thing we needed for the drive up.

We picked up Gen and Mom at the exit by Holden.

We know how to pick people up and provided pillows and chocolate for them.

We did some shopping on Friday.

We had a yummy dinner but I can't remember where.

We decided to go to the movies that night.  We saw Hope Springs.

This is what we wish we would have done through the whole movie.

At least we had some yummy treats to see us through that really awkward movie.

We spent some time getting beautiful for the next day.

We spent some time shopping at the City Creek Center and I was very happy to run into Brooke and Camille who I haven't seen in forever!  They are great friends and old college roommates.

We had lunch at Blue Lemon and we had heard good things about their sugar cookies and they were pretty good.

Then it was time to get Wicked!!

The play was fantastic and we loved it!!  It was such a fun weekend to spend with my mom and sisters and I can't wait for the next one!!
